Franchise Rosters

16 Position Players

1 Defensive Units

1 Special Team Units

1 Head Coaches

Unlimited IR Spots

Every franchise is required to have 1 Defenses, 1 Special Teams and 1 Head Coaches on their roster always.

Starting Lineup

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE), 1 K, 1 DE, 1 SP, 1 HC

Lineups must be turned in to the commissioner via the website, or in case of internet issues, another team owner before the start of that player’s game.

Any player that is on the roster of an NFL team that plays prior to Sunday is LOCKED as soon as their game starts. Those players can NOT be picked up, dropped or traded until the following week.

Free Agent Transactions

Each franchise is allotted unlimited free agent transactions through end of the season

Trades

No limit on trades made week 1 thru week 12 (no trades after week 12) if the trade is for equal # of players. If you were to trade 2 players for 1 you would then need to use a free agent transaction to get your roster to the correct # of players.

All Free Agent transactions made between 8 am CST Monday and 10 PM CST Wednesday are subject to “Blind Bidding” (conditional claims also accepted). From 8 a.m. CST Thursday morning until 11:59 a.m. CST Sunday all players are taken on a first come first serve basis. Any player dropped from a roster may not be picked up until the following week.

“Blind Bidding on Free agents.”

Each team has $30 (fictional) to bid on the free agent they are claiming. The highest bid wins the claim. If more than 1 team bids the same amount for the same player a coin toss will done to decide who receives the player. Once out of your $30 you will no longer be able to make free agent claims before Thursday.

Conditional Claim

A franchise may make a claim on a second player, assuming he does not get his first pick.

For instance, let’s say Marvin Harrison and Randy Moss are both available. A franchise can claim Randy Moss and on the condition that franchise does not get Randy, claim Marvin also. If the franchise gets its first choice, it then loses any claims on their second choice.

Rules Committee

The rules committee is made up of 3 franchise owners. The commissioner is not eligible for the committee. On draft day, each team will vote for 3 people. The top 3 vote getters will be the rules committee. The function of the rules committee is to handle all issues that arise when a team feels it is not being treated fairly, or disputes a decision, made by the commissioner. An owner must submit his dispute in writing to the commissioner and the rules committee. The dispute will be forwarded to all franchise owners by the commissioner. A 2-1 vote by the rules committee will overrule the commissioner. On draft day, before the draft begins, a franchise can make a motion to vote on a new rules committee, if seconded, there will be a new election before the draft begins. Otherwise the rules committee stays unchanged from year to year.

An annual rules meeting will be held sometime between the end of the Super Bowl and the following years draft to clarify existing rules and discuss future changes. Any changes will be voted upon, teams will be notified in person, by phone or e-mail and given adequate time to vote.
